Determined to be a better husband and father, Shane’s health journey is about more than weight.

265 lb. Carrying that for most of my adult life has been hard enough. But the heavier load has been the things people can’t see—the health concerns and emotional strain that come with it.

Early Struggles

At 49 years old, I look back on a life full of challenges and blessings: a marriage that ended in separation, raising five wonderful kids as a solo father, packing up everything and starting again in a new country, finding my soul-mate.

Throughout it all, my health has taken the brunt of the hard times. I’ve stress-eaten to get by and learned to live with a body that never really felt like mine.

Worse still, health concerns caused by my weight put my family’s happiness in jeopardy. Doctors told me I had a dangerous build-up of visceral fat around my kidneys and heart. If I wanted to grow old with my wife and play with my grandchildren, things had to change.

Failed Attempts

I had tried everything—spending thousands to control my weight. Meal-replacement shakes delivered short-term gains, but I couldn’t sustain a liquid diet. I bounced on and off Atkins, feeling confident one week and hopeless the next.

Paleo and Keto weren’t much better. I could handle the science and meal prep, but my willpower couldn’t conquer constant hunger and cravings. The hardest part was letting down my wife after all her motivation and optimism.

Discovering Calocurb

On May 6, 2018, a friend mentioned seeing an all-natural weight-management supplement on a primetime news show. Together we found the Calocurb website. Intrigued but skeptical, I made my first order on the spot.

I’ve resumed regular exercise—walking, weight training, and now a strength program at the gym. This energy and optimism has transformed my relationships: I’m the positive, supportive dad and husband I’ve always wanted to be.

Calocurb was a powerful tool to kick-start this cycle of healthier food choices, exercise, and optimism, but the real transformation required work, sacrifice, and willpower of my own.

I experienced some heartburn in the first few days, but sticking with it made all the difference.

Setting a Goal

I have a destination in mind—April 1, 2019, my 50th birthday. On that day I will weigh 187 lb. That’s my promise to my wife, my family, and to myself. It’s a promise I’m going to keep.
